Day 1: Yangon – Hsipaw by overnight bus (can go by air – TBA)

Evening in Yangon, take your own taxi to Aung Mingalar Highway bus station. Overnight bus will leave around 5‐6 pm and get to Hsipaw early morning of the next day. Check in to the hotel.
Hsipaw – southern countryside walk in the afternoon Hsipaw is a small and historic town in northern Shan state. Hil l tribe treks near are “unspoilt” yet and one can see the beautiful scenery and Shan palace which happens to have one of the last remaining residences of a former Shan prince. Hsipaw is a good place for easy day hikes, a boat ride and a perfect spot of trekking lovers to explore picturesque landscapes and beautiful tribal people. Walking tou r takes you to southern countryside to see farmer’s villages, panoramic scenery of pa ddy fields and mountains, seas onal crops, river and observ e a village life style and home‐made business like producing hand fan, basket weaving and cheroot rolling end etc. The guide will explain in detail about Shan life around Hsipaw and a spirit house buil t at the entrance of the village and make sure you will get to know these hidden stories of the local people in No rthern Shan state. Day 2: Hsipaw (B, L)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
Shan Villages trek, boat ride and swimming in Dotthawaddy River – full day Hsipaw’s panoramic scenery of padd y fields, mountains and the s tunning landscape is inviting you today for the relaxing boat ride and trek. Beg in the tour by soft trekking th rough the farmer’s villages, p addies, seasonal crops, river and ways of life Shan village pe ople. We’ll serve a bowl of Sha n noodle at tiny village mall. Afterwards, continue by a private boat upstream river thro ugh nice scenery of the mountai n, valley and plantations al ong the river. Swimming is available on the individual wish at the calm and clean water in the river. On the way back to Hsipaw is down‐streamin and visit to a SHAN village havin g typical houses with a small and charming gardens. End of the day back to your hotel. Tai House, Superior

Day 3: Hsipaw – Kyaukme by a public bus – trekking full day to Pa O villag es (B, L)

Early wake‐up today and have your breakfast at the hotel. Catch your local bus toward Kyaukme at around 07:00 am in front of your hotel. Kyaukme is a beautiful countryside w ith lots of stunning views and most beautiful spot to do the trekking, our local guides know the perfect routing and will lead you today to many tribal villages, the tea plantations, green fields and to the steamy mountains. Nearly 5‐6 hours trekking tour and on the way can see tea plantations, very green and beautiful scenery, farmers working in the fields, eat at local house with very simple foods and tasting season fruits whatever available on the way. Great to meet tribal people and learn their ways of life is very memorable of the day. This is a perfect active da y trekking and being off the beaten tracks experience. Day 4: Kyaukme – Pyin Oo Lwin by train (B, L)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
Gokteik Viaduct train ride to Pyin Oo Lwin
Morning you will get some free time to explore Kyaukme, and vis it to a local market. Guide will arrange to pack a simple lunch box to eat on the way. Enjoy a wonderful train journey through the Shan mountains crossing the mighty Gokteik Viaduct built in 1901 by the Pennsylvania Steel company and was once the second highest railway bridge in the world. The train starts from Hsipaw at 09:30 AM, and get to Kaukme station at around 11:30 AM. You get on the train and around 1:30 PM will reach Gokteik Viadut. Through spectacular moun tain scenery the train will slowly move forward over the old railway track passing sma ll villages and towns where vendors will enter the train to sell drinks and local s nacks. Expected arrival time in Naung Cho is around 14:00 and arrival time to Pyin Oo Lwin is approximately at 5:00PM or so. Please be warned in adva nce, there can be delays on an historic railway like this one and train is a bit slow and old too. Royal Parkview Hotel, Standard room
